This has a sad kind of thoughtfulness which I like, so it is meditative as you say. But no part of it is so memorable.  Nothing “sings” in my head after it ends; it is forgettable.  Perhaps the others will like it more.  The piano part is the best of this piece.

Very similar to the Mexican music I often hear.  It has the same kind of predictable bass line and a similar, more comical style.  I like the melody, but like the bass line it’s a little too “obvious” and “predictable.”   I could almost swear I’ve heard this before... but I’m probably wrong.  It would have been more impressive if this kind of thing wasn’t done so often.

I really like this piece. It’s as if this music doesn’t try sound more important than it really is (a nice thing).   Perhaps you should have worked on the pan positions to improve the feel of this.

Lost?  Perhaps, but I do think this is held together as one piece.  I love the way in which you use the nylon and steel guitar together skillfully.  I also like the pitch bends and skillful use of empty space.  Beginning at m17 and m100 are the most memorable parts.  The ending really took me by surprise (not in a good way), it was not satisfying enough.  Perhaps a more dramatic section right before the end would have been better, at least for me.

This doesn’t seem classical to me at all, but I don’t care about genres. This was weird (an attribute I usually admire).  The drums brought to mind the jungle and I liked the piccolo.  Sometimes I felt like this wasn’t going any where.  The exotic, foreign feel is what rescues this piece in my mind.

Sounds like cartoon music.  I must admit that I found it somewhat boring, until near the very end.  I guess that’s understandable if Freddy is lying down.  Between m37-m41 the woodwinds really caught my attention, they worked together nicely, but by then it was almost over.   This leaves me with the feeling that this is an introduction to much more important things.  The atmosphere is fitting, but the music is often dull.

It’s Freddy, once more.  Well, that’s good, the last piece did leave me wondering what he would do next.  Once again, it sounds like music for a little kid’s cartoon (Disney’s older works come to mind.)  I found the extremely comical nature of it all to be taxing on my attention and the percussion was sometimes annoying.  But it fit’s the description, so you accomplished what you set out to do.  It also helps me understand the last Freddy piece.

Yes, this is what game boss music should like.  :)   Everything is in place and your melody is great.  I was a bit disappointed when it ended though... I wanted to hear more of the hard rock, but then it faded out.  The points you didn’t receive are about originality, as I’ve heard game music very similar to this one.

I really like this.  It is definitely fitting of the opening of a game.  It reminds me of the music of the old Final Fantasy games.  It has a similar mysterious feel.  You definitely accomplished your objective.  I especially liked the ending.

You really pulled this off.  The orchestration is great.  The piano is the crowning jewel elevating this above the common piece.  I feel as if I am listening to some famous piece, which almost everyone has heard before, though to me it is a first. I only spot one instance in which I think there is a problem: At m22, when you cut back on the percussion, it feels too abrupt and I get a very strong feeling that something is missing.  I think it’s the one flaw in a great piece.

You described your piece as brilliant.  You’re right.  It sounds nice with Merlin as well as Cadenza, but I’d like to hear an MP3, if you have one.  You demonstrated things I have never seen in MIDI.  Some parts were especially good.  Between, m19-27 I really like the counterpoint between flute and violin.  Between m38-45, the violin was awesome, That’s just cool...heh..heh.  Between m53-65, the violin amazed me, I could never have thought to do something like that.  The end was great.

I listened to the original, and yes this is an improvement.  I like the atmosphere.  The bright piano works nicely when it occurs.  The last third of this piece is especially remarkable.

You have very good orchestration skills, but I’m sure you already know this.  It did begin to get a bit boring after seven minutes had passed, but you caught my attention again by minute eight.  There were a few moments in the first few minutes where I could accurately predict exactly how a melody would go before I heard it.  But other times I was really surprised, so it evens out.  The ending was good, but considering the length of the piece, I wanted a little bit more.  Overall, the music is good.  The reason I do not score a full “9" is because when listening a few times over the course of a few days, this piece grows  tiring.

Under Attack

This is interesting, it tells a story.  I like the different moods and atmospheres.  Good orchestration, the harpsichord has a very nice effect on the mix.  The melodies are exciting and can be recalled after one or two listens (very good thing.)

Interesting way to celebrate your birthday.  Sometimes the melody is pretty ingenious.  The end doesn’t feel conclusive, but that’s about the only problem.

A nice, mysterious solo piece.  I don’t really have much to say, but I’d like to hear a version of this orchestrated with strings and woodwinds to accompany the guitar.
