A Elevation 7.00 I like very much the quick synth at the beginning- kind of Enya-ish.  The mood of the instrumentation and the melody don't always seem to fit togther.  It seems to variy between a more modern feel and an older more classical feel.  The guitar is rendered very well.  I must admit, I didn't like the piece itself, but the MIDI was well done.
B The 60s Blues
C Gaspains 4.50 Didn't strike me, and the choice of instruments could have been better.  The modulation controller on the organ is very distracting- it pulls it out of key enough to bother me.  I like the guitar and the way that you brought it to MIDI, but overall this didn't impress me much.  Keep it up, though.
B Red Islands 8.80 I was tapping my toe to this one!  :)  I really like the guitar part- very flowing, very fitting.  The percussion is well done as well.  I really enjoyed this piece!
A Piano Concert 1, mov 2
A Altman Sonata for piano
A Friday's Waltz
D Alien Wars 5.00 Very, uh… noisy, I guess.  Lots of… noise, some music.  I like the rhythm of it, but it was too brash for my liking.
B Funk (A Brief Insanity)
A Piano Concerto #6 Mov3 Op38
A Accordions Duet Op42
B Trio No 1
D Battle of Fleetzan 2002 6.30 Less than gripping introduction- and I thought the percussion a bit distracting.  The tremolo strings are a nice touch, though.  Overall, I thought it lacked focus- not enough of a melodic/themematic quality.  It conveys a very dark tone- I like that.
B Horses of the Time
A Standing Man
D Walk of the Grave 5.30 Why you gotta have that weird violin?! :)  The low bass part gets a bit monotonous.  The modulation controller on the triangle is really cool though!  I like some of the out-of-time sections like in the early pan flute.  Seems to run together into a soupy kind of dark death song- which is what you were after at least according to your title.  Overall, I though it lack cohesiveness.  A bit meandering.
B The Eagle and the Child
B Mary Edna
C Never Again 8.00 Cool little intro- slides from pop ballad feel to a jazzy section… strange places for chromatics…but still, it works!  The fast part at 1:12 is really cool!  Obviously done in MIDI though- I'd say the main thing you should work on is a more realistic MIDI performance- maybe some more tempo slows and more velocity controllers for contrast... but great music!  Great job!
A Piano Studio 3
C A Strange Song 8.00 I like!  Just sittin' on the beach, watchin' the water… cool melody- no really, in the best sense of the word.  I wouldn't have added the Sawtooth Wav- it seems a little too brash for the relaxed feel of the piece.  This makes me think of a nice Hawaiian beach.  Nice job...
C Handel's Great Drunk 7.00 He's really drunk, right?… the voicing is so quick and energetic- I don't know which voice to listen to! :)  Seems a bit wondering… but I guess that drunk people probably don't have focus anyway, right? :)
D Reinvent 4.00 If it ain't broke, don't fix it… the piece seems too busy overall, but the new voices mix well with the original.  I liked the original better, obviously- but don't feel bad, going up against Bach is a monumental task!  I've got to take a lot of points of for originality, though, as it isn't really a new arrangement, just kind of an addition...
C Circa 21 6.00 Wow.  Quite an intro!  I liked the second half much better- it reminds me of John Williams score to AI in places.
C Sister Ann Joins the Carnival 5.00 Mournful introduction… I like the theme.  Get's faster, slowiy… very much like the driving bass piano part… The brass is a little erratic. Get's a little scary at the electronic part… I'm not sure what to think about this one.  There are things that I really like, like the piano and the brass theme, but the electronics obscure it.
B Hungry Heart
B Pilate Shrugged
B I Am Myself
A Shadowplay Waltz
C Entrance of the Scholars 4.00 The opening cymbal roll could have been executed better.  Noteworthy is not a MIDI author's friend- it doesn’t handle a lot of technical things very well at all.
B The World is Round
A Hallelujah Chorus
C Chesh Lank 6.00 I LIKE arrangements… he he… some people around here don't agree with me, but that's okay.  This one, however, is a bit too frantic for me- I would have cut the ride cymbal, but the snare is good.
A String Quartet mov 1
A String Variations
B My One and Only Love
C The Enchanted Storm 9.32 Beautifully handeled introduction… I hear the waves and soft whisper of the wind flowing in the beautiful arpeggio… Ooo, the strings coming in… speeds up… NICE USE OF SOUND EFFECTS!  Beautiful flutes…. Crashing… wonderful cymbal roll…. Stings speeding up, John Williams style... The storm is here, now- cool bass instrument... then the aftermath....Very nice, very nice.
C Dawn 7.60 The opening choir is a bit loud… too long of a hold!  Nice dissonance.  I like the snare drum, it adds a lot to the piece, as does the flowing horn solo.
D Boris and Natasha 9.33 Hmm… very playful.  I like this piece.  My cakewalk is broken, but tell me if I'm right… I think he kills her at… You know?  I don't know.  I'm sure it would be very clear to me if I could read the markers… I'd say "Yeah, that makes perfect sense…"  But I really can' tell.  Give me a ring at ktz555@yahoo.com, and tell me!  By the way, excellent piece- it was beautiful and very well done!
A Scherzo on Bee 10
C End of the Storm 8.43 Haunting strings- nice timpani on the bottom.   Beautiful theme, kind of Horner-esque in places, but still a great tune and original somehow.  I really enjoyed this piece.  I think you need to work on adding color to this- maybe some little woodwind flurries to keep interest.  But really good job overall!

C Astro Odyssey 7.80 I didn't like the way you started off, but once the snare got going, I began to enjoy it more.  Emily must be really strange!  :)  I like the theme, but perhaps you could bring the piece together more with some common elements in the theme other than large flute arpeggios- although those are great.  I enjoyed this piece very much, keep it up!
