Ilyen kedvem
volt, mit tegyek, ezt nem lehet szabályozni. Ez lett belole,
az aktuális kedvencem. |

Love 3 (14K2), XG - Format 1, Rock, Ballada. Awe 32, Gm35
Revc.sf2 or Yamaha Waveforce 192 - Sep 03 |

Az
hogy a dalnak ez a 3. hangszerelési variációja,
jelzi az elégedetlenségemet a hangzással
kapcsolatban. A tempó kicsit gyorsabb, a kíséret
még egyszerubb, de mégis, ez már tetszik.
Tulajdonképpen ez volt az elso dal, amit versenyre küldtem,
akkor még cím nélkül. Jó dalnak
tartom. |

Configured
for LPCadenza sound font. MerlinGM21 sound font works in a pinch,
but best with Cadenza, SB Live EA set to Concert Hall or Auditorium
with a bit of chorus. This is an experimental piece that I suppose
could be considered progressive rock, with psychodelic flavor. |

I
composed this Jazz Fugue ('Blues') in a desire to more deeply
analyise the possibilities offered by a classical form when this
is married to notes and rytm more proper to Jazz. The fugue is
divided into a theme (of two measures) with diverse arrangements,
various divertimenti, and a central improvisation by right hand.
This allegro performance of 104 measures is increasingly brisk
and lively, with just a hint of melancholy. While the choice of
tonality in e(phrygian theme) is casual, in a manner typical to
composing, it gave the piece its character and precise tones.
I hope you enjoy my last composition for piano, and that you might
even have fun playing it (it is not an easy piece to play!). |

Here
is my arrangement of C.P.E. Bach's Solfeggio (sometimes pronounced

category. The original is mostly a single melodic line. I added
a walking bass line, chords and percussion, using a Roland 200
controller and the ENCORE program. |

Folk Song (14K), GM - Sep 12 |
000 |
I
do not know the actual name of this song, but I think it is the
most recognizable Russian folksong next to THE VOLGA BOATMEN.
I once heard this on a video by THE RUSSIAN ARMY BAND AND CHORUS
and I recently heard it at a college football game. I arranged
it by ear for my high school band yesterday and we will play it
tomorrow night. Shout HEY! after the last note. Cinematic in nature,
composed with a Roland 300 controller and the ENCORE program. |

The
Storm trhough My Window (43K1), XG - Sep
18 |
000 |
Most
serious choice of instruments in depicting storm sounds and feeling.
Touching one after another delicate harmony and rhythm with different
instruments underlines both fluid and staccato effect. The composition
is here after the composer was surprised by its recognition from
the people who heard it. It looked that nobody had any doubt what
has been described although it was never mentioned what the composition
is about - the storm. In their opinion it's been well described.
Very curious to hear the opinion of your esteemed jury. Of course,
the creative spark was a real storm experience. Technique: Composition
was made in Music Time Deluxe and it must be heard with XG Soft
otherwise has no meaning (I tried and volume ratios were always
lost unless it is XG) The work is complete, there was no composer's
intention to add or subtract anything more, i.e. the idea is developed
in full - how well, we are anxious to have here disclosed. Category:
Cinematic: You are in you room. Safe and warm. Black clouds are
coming. You have no fear just a pause in your day to experience
a well known but every time different phenomenon. Is it billions
of instruments coming together, just a noise or there is a music
in it... music of thunder and rain? Who can tell, yet the storm
is coming and you know besides all the threat it inclines that
soon it will be gone. |

Concert
for clarinet opus 43, 2nd and 3rd movements (76K6), GM - Sep
20 |
000 |
I
me stesso.
stessa. Saluti a tutti. |

to under stand this kind of music. But I would ask that if you
happen to mark this piece, to be objective. Thanks and enjoy the

Laulu
kauniille tytölle I wrote this song a year ago to lyrics
written by a friend of mine. The reason I didn't submit it then,
was that we entered this song to the Eurovision song contest!
It didn't get past the first stages, but what do you think, would
this have done well in Tallinn last spring? The song itself is
an honest love song, the name means "A song to a beautiful
girl". You can guess the rest! |

Piano
Concerto #1, first movement. My first real effort at the classical
concerto form, dedicated to -and a gift for - all of you, my fellow
composers. You've pushed me to write more and more effectively
and consistently this past year, and for that I give my sincere
and heartfelt thanks. I hope that hearing it delights you as much
as it delighted me to make it. Please use Merlin soundfonts for
the flutes, oboes, clarinets, french horns and timpani. WST25Stein_00Sep22.sf2
for the piano works best if you can find it (you may have to search
for it on the net - or I'll send it to you myself if you want
it), and standard SBLive! 8mb soundfonts for the rest. And continue
to be the best inspiration for sharing beautiful music that a
composer could ever have! |

Scherzando (24K5), ?? - Sep 30 |
000 |
This
is the Scherzo movement from Sonata No. 1 in A for piano but I
decided to arrange it for wind quartet (flute, oboe, clarinet,
bassoon). I just threw it together at the last minute and I'm
not even sure if an ensemble works with this piece or even if
the piece itself is truly arrangeable for this ensemble but I
figured I would get away from a strict piano work this month.
Not the best for me but something different anyway. |

Missing
Briana (36K8), ?? - Sep 30 |
000 |
To
give you a little background into this song, a few years back,
I worked for a piano sales company with a man named Kevin. One
day, he told me that his sister-in-law's 3 month old infant daughter
died of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) and that he was trying
to organize a wake for her. Later that day, his sister-in-law
came into the store and not knowing who she was at the time, I
ask if she needed helped. She had obviously been crying but said
she was looking for Kevin. I took her to him and overheard her
grief and pain as she was trying to organize the wake. After she
left, I told Kevin that if it was OK, I would compose a piece
for the occasion and he agreed. Little did I know that the wake
was that evening. A few hours later, I had finsihed it and Kevin
and I took a Clavinova to the funeral home. Even after all this
time, I still cannot explain the feeling I had seeing a 3 month
old baby in a tiny little casket looking as if she was just sleeping
and seeing the mother and father close by talking to her. I wasn't
sure I could play the piece at first but I did. Afterwards, the
mother was crying and thanked me for doing somethng for someone
I never met in my life. This song has always been special to me
and special to the people I wrote it for. By now, you've probably
figured out that their daughter was named 'Briana'. May she always
rest in peace. |

Revelry
(136K), GM - Sep 30 |
000 |
It
might not sound like it in the beginning, but the title fits later
on in the piece, in a transition from the dark to the brighter
(though it gets brighter as the piece developes, it always retains
dark overtones in the woodwinds). Unlike most of my piecies, I
began work on this piece in mid-May and it's taken me a little
work on it each month until finally it reached an end. Some people
have said it reminds them of the atmosphere in fall, crisp but
still full of life. |

I
just recently started composing and these entries were all done
with Noteworthy Composer via mouse. I listen to all my midi's

it was inspired by the standard "In the Mood". A couple
local High school jazz bands are playing this for me this fall.
The section with improvised muted trumpet can be opened up for
solos with other sections repeating background themes as cued
by the conductor. |

Having a difficult
time describing something that I wrote without sounding too self

cool. |
