The Other Side	8.35	VERY nice and pretty melodies and harmonies. Its weakness is to be too short, it does not develop enough to a larger work, what is a pity because the so good melody calls for more.
Scherzo for Piano Op39	8.00	Some parts remind me Chopin. Its strongest point is the melody beauty. Its weakness point is the lack of originality in my opinion and also it is only a piano work.
Overture Op 31	8.10	Simple and effective melodies. Some ones are VERY good and beautiful. In matter of melodies, simplicity is gold. And this work shows it. Also, excellent orchestration. A bit fragmented with great melodies just joined without a real continuity or "story" behind. Some melody fragments are clearly reflexes of some well known classical melodies. Strongest point: the orchestration. Weakness point: several melodies just joined resulting in a confused piece. What a pity. So good melodies, so amazing orchestration, but joined in a confused way. Other problem: the originality. I already had heard some of the melodies used, primary in Russian composers Tchaikovsky and Mussorgsky. Anyway, it has a primary melody (not used very much, it should be more developed) VERY good using a syncopation rhythm which reminds me Tchaikovsky. However, notice, the worst is the mess. The themes and melodies keep changing repeatedly without a real sense of continuity.
Daring	8.90	There is some Rachmaninoff behind the scenes here, undoubtedly, but softer and mixed with some Debussy I guess. Very interesting. The music is very nice to listen. Strongest points are the midi performance (like a live effect) and the harmonies, subtle and very well concatenated. Weakness points, well, maybe a little more action or melody variation (more drama and less champagne) could increase the listening attention and the music quality. As midi work is fantastic. As music lacks some shake effect. In some way, it is the opposite of the Overture above.
The Authority	8.00	Dominance of expression (not dumb midi, but how to express something through music). Cinematic background. More effects (and what effects!) than music sometimes. Strongest point: the capacity to express something, emotion, mood, atmosphere, a scene. Good dominance of electronic sounds. Weakness: lack of a more elaborated music, from a classical point of view. Excellent for a movie.
Metamorphosis	9.00	Same characteristics as above, but with better melodies, more concatenated so it can tell a story. It uses more repeated accompaniment patterns, so it is able to keep the mood and the attention of the listener very well. The end wasn't, the piece had no effective end. The story is stiil open! Oh mum... I was scoring 9.5, but now....
Short Piece in D	7.50	The orchestration could be improved. How to express using midi instruments some musical idea? Very good chords and harmonies. The melody is a bit simple. Could be more developed to achieve a start, middle and end. The author has good ideas, but needs to work more to translate them in music I guess.
A Shaker Cannon	8.10	Wonderful orchestration and midi composition. Of course, it lacks originality what gives me the hard decision of how much to score it. Should I score it higher than an original work or not? 10 as music.
Stars, Sun and Moon	8.90	Wonderful use of dissonant chords. This author has the seed of modern music and style in his heart (or mind?). Beautiful, no other words. Strongest points: chord progressions and harmonies. Weakness: the structure; better and clear start, middle and end sections would certainly improve the music a lot.
Opus 1537
Concerto 1	9.50	It sounds baroque. Using Merlin or 8M Plus sound font it sounds amazing. Because of the instruments used (violin, viola, etc.) , it is very important to listen it using an adequate sound font or the listener will not get it. Wonderful music
Ave Maria
One Last Wish	8.50	Let's dance!!!!! Hum... there is a Spanish blood here. What a pity, too short! With a little more development and some variations, I would score it easily more than 10! Maybe you need a day with 25 hours.
Apricot Pie Toccata 2	5.50	I was not able to get the feeling of this music. I heard several fragments of sounds joined without an idea of continuity of themes.
Alice's Vacation	7.00	Same characteristics as above, with some better fragments but not concatenated.

The Other Side of Space	4.00	It really doesn't fit my taste.
Wonder 2	7.00	It starts suddenly, as it was in the middle of the music. Interesting orchestration, some good melodies, good harmonies but repeats too much some parts.
Suffering Heart	8.50	I liked more in this piece the rhythm variations. Not much suffering.
March of the Tigers	9.10	XG Circus Maximum!
3094 AD Mov 1	9.00	The midi aspects of the music could be improved and get better scores from average listeners.

Buffet for Brass	8.50	Good melody and rhythm variations. Some melodies are very good and others aren't. The brass instrumentation gives the piece an urban mood. Very original.
Fountain	8.00	The accompaniment is too much fixed, boring, always repeating the same pattern for a fountain. The primary melody is a bit weird some times, calling for a more clear idea of continuity. The instrumentation sometimes is poor letting gaps in the music. More dynamic is needed.

Juan Circled	7.00	The weakness point is the melody which does not express any emotion. Everything can be good, but without a good emotive melody the music will not be appealing.
Dawn	8.20	The beginning sounds Scottish! Nothing against... :-)

Still Carrying the Torch	7.50	Some chords in piano are too bass and the effect is not good. When the tone raises, mixing the instruments, it sounds very better. Simple melody and effective performance together result in a good music following a mood, but not enough to shake my inside.

Friday Rag	8.00	Maybe the performance could be improved, but the composition is clear, effective and very good for listening. And isn't that the main goal?

Raindrop Rag	8.80	Clear, simple and effective. Very good for listening. It doesn't shake my taste, but it is very nice.
TECHNO - NEW AGE
Lost Time	9.10
Technomikey	8.80	Comparing this one with the others in this category, it repeats too much some patterns only percussion based. Ok, it is techno, but lets create more! Anyway, it shows a skilled composition using electronic and midi equipment. The starting, using organ is very clever, because it creates the surprise element, when changing instruments after a while. If the percussion accompaniment was not so much repeated without variations, I would score it higher.
Liquidity II	8.50	I have the impression I have already heard this music several times in some video games of race cars (the game is Top Gear, very similar). Lacks originality. Is short. And have not variations in instrumentation.
Travel Tea	9.00	Expresses a melancholic mood very soft and appealing. The more interesting is that, sometimes, it has a baroque smell. Very good!
Egypnotechnic	8.80	See Technomikey above. The same comments are valid for both.
Masamune	9.50	The least I can say is Air flight Panic! I can imagine this music playing in a action movie. Would be great. Did the plane crash!? Original and strong orchestration! Maybe the midi aspects could be improved.
AMBIENT
Once Upon a Time	8.00	This guy might have a degree in orchestration. Strongest points: the orchestration and the structure of the piece. Very weakness point: the melodies could be better, because although the chords are very well concatenated and the instrumentation is very skilled, the melody of this music doesn't help to build a masterpiece, being really very boring and without any beauty. I think it has a lot of mind work, but no heart, no soul.
Early Morning Light	7.50	Finland! Well, at least in first chords. What a pity Sibelius is not here to help ... ;-) Anyway the rhythm and the progression of the music is very good. A bit short, it ends when I thought it would really start and shake the walls!
EXPERIMENTAL
Underwater Flight	8.50	Emotion with sound! Yes, my hair is up... you did it! Very good sound effects. Well, at least, this is the abstract category. Sometimes a rabbit do things he doesn't know are better than others. This is your style!

The Fourth Estate	6.00	Probably the music could be improved using more volume dynamic to avoid the mechanical aspects of the piece. The result sounded too much mechanical.
Catalonias Dance	8.40	The chord progression and the primary melody could be better. The orchestration is very good.
