CLASSICAL & ORCH.
Promised Land 9.50 Great opening themes!  I like.  The motives are well orchestrated, and they have "that quality" that good pieces of music share- ya' know, that 'goosebump factor'.  Excellent!  I love the crescendos… building, building… climax!  A beautiful climax.  Top quality work.
Recessional 9.50 Liked the short Mixolydian measure, and the seuge into the strings was great as well.  The instruments get a little muddled, but we'll chalk that up to different sound cards/fonts.  Beautiful.  Fits a wedding perfectly.  I would love to hear a live recording of this.  Excellent!
Symphony 1 Redone NA My piece.  Cannot review.
Can't Find My Way Without You 2 8.50 Not really too orchestral, but that's okay!  It sounds great.  The flute sounded a little low, but I think figured that was just the Cadenza flute.  I tried a different sound font, and the flute sounded wonderful!  The percussion was well done, and although the piano track(s) were a bit loud, it was a good effort.  Nice job.
To Aquarius 6.50 Slow intro.  No- really- slow intro.  A synth solo- not a bad thing per se. The warm pad patch kind of is hard to follow until around m. 30-35, when the velocity controller gets turned up, and the horns come in.  Sounds like hints of a great theme are hiding in the backround, and it builds a little slower than my liking.  So that there is no confusion on this- I'm taking NO points off for it- this is not classical.  Very New Age/Ambient feel.  Look at the harmonies- they don't diverge from the home key often... What this piece is really lacking is structure.  It kind of takes a while to get to the point, without enticing the listener into the slow introduction with interesting/captivating musical ideas.
12 Winds in 4 Parts 7.00 Very… atonal.  Dissonance- I like it.  The bottle patch was a great choice, but the saxes don't really 'blend' with it well, and they both end up sticking out… Perhaps I don't truly 'appreciate' this piece, but I find it meangering and never really one the grabs my attention.
Spring 8.00 I looked at the Sibelius file, listened to it, listen to the midi, changed soundfonts… love the piano, but for the life of me, I can't make heads or tails of the string parts- they kind of squish together into a mass of sound in places… hard to hear, to understand.  I do like the piano motive with the sixteenth notes and all... tempo changes are good.  Could use some cleaning up, but a great place, just past starting... its almost there.
Little Waltz 6.00 "Common Waltz Themes"?  I know I'm the advocate of arrangements, but specific.  You definitely… hear the 'familiar' themes, and so originality is a little lacking.  But the midi quality seems good.  Nice music too, I think…
The Ethereal Mist ? Midi file wouldn't play for me.  Is it corrupted?
Phoenix Suite No 1 10.00 What can I say?  This is incredible!  I don't like giving a perfect "10" often, but this piece takes the cake.  I'm sure that other reviewers loved this piece! Interesting musically, midi quality beyond compare… a whole lot of work went into this piece, and it payed off!  Wonderful.  Incredible!  Wow!
Snow Bound 9.80 The excitement!  Great intro- grabs my attention… dynamics!  Quick things flying by… Beautiful things!  Great themes, great midi work, top job!
A Boyus Dream 8.80 The beginning is kind of interesting, but… I'm not sure if I like it.  The taps sound realistic.  The pan flute sound could be replace with something else.  Kudos for a special intro that adds a little bit of much-need spice to the category.  Even if I don't like it, I recognize the creativity behind it.  Other reviewers may have like it, though.
