I used Guitar Pro 3 to make the midi file.

Following the attack of September 11, I was moved in many ways. This piece is written to reflect those emotions I shared with my fellow countrymen. Beginning with the collapse of the twin towers, the piece reflects shock, anger, patriotism, determination and then concludes with - well, let the listener decide. Written with Finale 2001 with a Yamaha SXG-50 softsynth driver, but unfortunately I cannot save the rich sounds of the sound driver in the MIDI file.
American Suite Part 4 (10K6), XG - Nov 10
Click Here to Review American Suite Part 4!
Inspired by the music of South American Natives, this piece is the fourth part of a series using instruments that are used by North and South American Indians. I have also added strings and other instruments I felt would add depth. It was written using Finale 2001 with a Yamaha SXG-50 oftsynth driver, but unfortunately I cannot save the rich sounds of the sound driver in the MIDI file.
Indian Dancing V2 (78K), GM - Nov 10

I used SBlive and standard sounfdonts. Sounds better using Merlin soundfonts. I was unsure about the category, because it hasn't a well defined one. Anyway, I think it is orchestral.

I submited the third movement of my first piano & violin sonata last month ; here is the second and I will submit the first movement soon. I love this quite composition, I think it's my best one. Equipement : MIDI format 1. SB Live! with Roland viano and Cadenza violin sound fonts. Midisoft Studio 4.0 and Cakewalk Audio pro 9.

I hope you hear summer and forest in this piece. It starts early in the morning and end with cuccoos song. I made it with Sibelius notation software using SB Live 1024.

Description:Opera scene, of Lucio Silla (N.6)
Livret: Giovanni di Gamerra with adaptations by Pietro Metastasio.
Mozart Composed the music for this opera that i don`t know yet. I took the first act of the livret to put it in music, i hope to finish the entire opera before i know the Mozart`s one. I find this very interesting, i hope you do too!! I made this work with NoteWorthy composer, musical notation software, the device for the sound used is the "Roland VSC-55".
Adagio No 6 (29K), GM - Nov 24

Entitled 'Adagio No. 6', this piece has undergone many changes. I started off with the main theme, but soon the piece became almost an exercise in modulation. Several times, the piece drops keys, (hopefully not too jarring!). Anyway, the haunting Celesta sound will sound the best with Cadenza soundfont and lots of EAX reverb, if possible (Concert Hall with just a tad tacked on seems to work the best for me). Notated in Sibelius, mixed and tempo changes added in Cakewalk. Enjoy!
Rapture (25K), GM - Nov 30

I tried to put a lot of emotion into this piece, and intended it to be a sort of Opra with only instruments. It is best heard on a SB Live! with Concert Hall settings.
Wind Song (28k), GM - Nov 30

This is a duet for Violin and Piano that I wrote for a friend and myself to perform live. For the midi version, I set the Violin track to Strings1 to get extra reverb on some soundcards.

The title of my November entry is 'Valhalla'. Valhalla comes from Norse mythology- it is the heaven where warriors went after dying in battle. Written using Sibelius Scorewriter and re-mixed using Cakewalk Home Studio. Cadenza and Concert Hall EAX will vastly improve quality, however, due to the 'feel' of the piece.

Lebenz. I bet you wonder what the heck they really are. Frankly, Lebenz are the superior race of aliens that use to rule the galaxies for thousands of years. They travel across the distant galaxies in search of Spam. Sure it was all jolly good fighting the Actinoids, Penutras, and all manner of creatures around the universe, until they one dark day when they decided to invade the Humans and steal the earth's valuable supply of Spam. The Lebenz force has been greatly wiped out by a number of opposers, but the battle is still happening today - whether it be in cornfields or kite flying hills, we are out to get 'em doc - we are out to get 'em.
(Note: The Timpani part sometimes goes below its range, these are meant to be bass drum cues. If your soundbank limits the range of your timpani to actual range, some notes may not sound)
They Are Coming (68K2), GM - Nov 30

One of my older songs, composed in 2000. It is about the oncoming invasion of the Earth by the aliens. Sequenced with MicroLogic AV and SC-88VL. I have replaced the original Mello Choir patch of the Roland sound canvas by the strings. It is better than normal MIDI Choir Aah patch, but may not sound as intended. MIDI type 1.

An akword, frustrated beat power this tempremental song. It features a shrill, storming lead and thunderous power chords. Don't mess with this song, it's got the Anger Inside. Guitar-Pro 2.2, ESFM Synthesis(220), Standard settings.

BLUES - SWING

Blue Monk (55K), GM - Nov 30
Click Here to Review Blue Monk!
Original music composed by the great Thelonius Monk, one of my very favorite piano players of all time. This is my own arrangement of one of his most well known tunes: "Blue Monk", sequenced in the layed-back, off-kilter style Monk was famous for....at least that was what I was going for... judge for yourself.
Sequenced in Cakewalk Sonar, using a "toy" Yamaha keyboard (PSR-36 hahaha!) interfaced with the crummy onboard Crystal chipset that came stock with this sorry system... I paid special attention to trying for a genuine "Live performace" sound, particularly with the horns.... I was quite pleased with the result, hope you agree. This was written for the MerlinGMv15 sound font I downloaded from this site, and works fairly well using run of the mill general midi as well, I think.

A Compiled set of three short songs all with the same theme. Written with two different sequencers. Auto Master and Cakewalk MC 2002. The difference in quality and sound when you have a great sequencer to edit MIDI's is a like the invention of the wheel. EXP 9 Rain X is best played with Merlin sound font 1.3 28megs and a SBlive set to Concert Hall Effects. This is an Abstract piece. So lay back and let out some tension.

Ya sorta have to imagine the sax as a human singing the lyrics - but this is midi *sigh*. I think this is marketable. Anyone have any advice as to where to start? The lyric makes it work.Merry Christmas, y'all!

This is only the first four variations of the twelve. The first and third are fast and loosly atonal, the second and fourth are slow and use the ionian mode (they also tend to throw you off with the switches in rythme; This is to kee you out of that unwanted comfort zone).

This vocal song was written as part of the ending credits for a video game in the making called "Cross Eclipse." The lyrics for this song are not finished yet, but we have found someone to sing it and there will be a mp3 recording made.
