| MIDI WORK | SCORE | COMMENT |
| CLASSICAL & ORCH | 7.41 | |
| To the Queen of England | 6.00 | “Good musical ideas, but the whole piece sort of wandered around aimlessly.” |
| Death at Genoa | 5.80 | “Odd combination of instruments. It had some good effects with the brass and deep drums but when the rest of the percussion and instruments came in it sounded unorganized.” |

| The Hubbard Saga | 8.00 | “Performed live I would score this piece very highly, but I don’t think it quite works as a midi. I listened to it on a few different sound cards but it always had a sort of “clunky” quality that I hear in a lot of midis that aren’t fine-tuned. As a live performance, 9, as a stand-alone midi, 7.” |
| Trio | 7.50 | “The chord progression somewhere in the middle of the piece threw me for a loop. Wandered around a lot. I think it might have done better with more direction because of the choice of style.” |
| Adagio Interlude | 8.90 | |
| War March | 10.00 | “Excellent atmosphere in the beginning. Opening theme and where it occurs through the piece gets a 10, but some of the sections interspersed rambled, they get 9.8 but it doesn’t bring the overall score down. Good gunshot effects for the battle, another 10 for the originality there. I’ve heard some attempts in other pieces to capture that effect but this piece mastered it beautifully. The main melody in the wind instruments gave the piece a sense of being alive with the slight syncopation between the two instruments.” |
| Romantic Suite | 9.00 | “Seemed to me like hearing the same piece several times over but that was mainly because of the style I think. Generally I’m not fond of this sort of style because of that aspect but I have not included that into the score. Reminded me a lot of Debussy.” |
| Lost Memories | 9.00 | “Listening to this piece was almost like dejavu (or some spelling variant of it). Something in this piece I think I’ve heard elsewhere in multiple other pieces but I can’t place a finger on it...” |

| Haunted | 5.20 | |
| CINEMATIC | 8.16 | |
| Journey in my Dreams | 8.20 | “Another piece that sounds like I’ve heard it before when I know I haven’t…A lot of interesting effects in this piece. They got a bit repetitive and I kept expecting a new instrument or a theme variation to come in but it didn’t until after many repeats. The Middle Eastern instruments and tonality that snuck in about three and a quarter minutes through sounded like they came in accidentally and then said “oops” and went out.” |
| Twilight Journey | 8.00 | “Interesting use of guitar effects in the beginning. I thought it was going to break into a fast rock or techno deal at one point near the beginning but then it kept pulling back for a very metronomy section that dragged the spirit of the piece down until the lead guitar came back in. Struck me that the sections could have been let to cut loose a little bit more and that lead guitar could’ve romped around like it really seemed to want to.” |

| The Market | 8.20 | “Close, but not quite there on the Middle Eastern sounds. Had more of a Hollywood-interpretation sound than the real thing.” |

| Brave New World | 7.90 | “Good effects but way to repetitive with not enough thematic development relative to the length of the piece.” |
| Duke Nuke Play | 7.70 | |

| Let's Play | 8.50 | “Nice use of guitar” |
| Blow by Blow | 6.50 | “Themes were good but could have used a bit more organization. Whole piece sounded a bit rushed. Ending guitar lead was very good, but could have tied in better.” |
| COUNTRY & WESTERN | 8.50 | |
| Pass the Jug, Jethro | 8.50 | “Excellent fiddling, though some of the repeating slides sounded forced. I kept waiting for the drum kit and bass to come in right after the beginning, and I think they could have come in a bit sooner.” |
| JAZZ | 8.90 | |
| Hobble Skirt 1914 | 8.90 | “I love the honky-tonk in this one. Didn’t quite understand the drums through most of the piece though…” |
| AMBIENT | 9.00 | |
| River Harp in China | 9.00 | |
| EXPERIMENTAL | 6.90 | |
| Sunny Day | 6.80 | “Beginning’s not abstract or experimental at all…struck me as just a modern orchestral piece, but I’m not judging category so it’s not affected the score. Though I’m not generally an advocate of dynamics being a “must” in midis, I think this piece needed it because of the instruments—specifically the piano and strings.” |
| Knight Time | 7.00 | “Knight Time or Knight Tyme? Just wondering which way it was supposed to be. I’m not sure whether my sound card was responsible for this or not, but all the sounds had a harshness that didn’t fit the themes, melodies, etc. Also was very mechanical sounding which again didn’t seem to fit the mood. “ |
| OTHERS-UNKNOWN | 7.13 | |
| Roving Song | 7.50 | “Sounds like it should have gone in Cinematic, but I didn’t count that in the score. Good melody and combination of instruments. I think it could have been expanded into a more complex piece though.” |
| Frame Work | 5.50 | “Very disjunct and dissonant…sounds to me like it was composed and played simultaneously and improvised, rather than having themes or structure that was thought-out.” |
| God Bless Manhattan | 7.50 | “Good expression with a combination of dynamics instruments and chord progressions. Bit wandering though.” |
| Fantasy for Organ | 8.00 | “Personally I think it would work as a woodwinds-imitating-organ piece performed live just as well as an organ piece. This is another midi I think could have gone in a different category, either classical-orchestral or cinematic, but again it hasn’t been counted in the score.” |
