To The Queen of England 7.50 This one expresses emotions. Very interesting. It gets better if you listen it several times. Strong point: it tells you something, it has emotins and transmits that. Weak points: the orchestration is poor, very linear.                                    
Death at Genoa 6.50 Orchestration too much linear. Melodies not very well concatenated.                                    
Suite #1 Dmaj 8.00 Very interesting composition. Strong points: the structure, the orchestration. Weak points: the melodies are something obvious and lacks originality. As composition=10. As a music which could shake people feelings and emotions=6. Sounds too much mechanical sometimes. And repeats too much some patterns. After listening to it two times, it gets unpleasant.                                    
Doublin 7.85 Strong points: nice melodies, excellent orchestration, excellent variations of rhythms and color. Weak points: the structure demands more development and lacks originality, because of course the melodies are more than common. Sometimes very colorful compositions hide weak developments and repeated themes which should be most developed using creativity or mixing them with different and new themes.

Trio 5.00 I was not able to feel any sense of continuity, melody progression or structure in this composition. I think the way it was composed had some problem.                                    
Adagio Interlude 8.50 This music has beauty and emotions. What more should I want?                                    
War March 9.00 Ok Mr. Tuba. This one is VERY good. Don't you want to be a reviewer? ;-) Hum... The only criticism I could do is about the tendency of the music to use sound effects to color the music, instead of creating more variations or counterpoints, dialogs between the instruments, and such composition tricks.  Also, for a battle, I should expect some and more tragic mood and sad passages. I will give it a good score, because of the great results achieved, but as music it lacks some attributes as clearly noticed in the tragic passage of the battle, where the harmony and chord progression is poor and doesn't have the sad atmosphere needed. Exaclty in THAT part is where the composer should be able to show his musical skills (and not just sound effects, as shots and screams) for building a beauty and sad melody to match, contrast and flow together with the other parts of the music. But no, it quickly returns to the ONE and only one theme so to reach the end. You should improve this excellent music. Build a true sad and beauty melody part in the tragic passage, before the end, with full of emotions, and the music will get 10 in any contest where I am reviewer, ehehe. Hum... WAR!? Bad choice...                                    
Romantic Suite 3 9.20 Ooops. Mahler + Rachmaninoff + Respighi (yes, in The Fountains of Rome and The Pines of Rome ). Sometimes I think this composer should try to forget a little his musical memories and try to create more using what could be his own style and not a borrowed one. Anyway this one could be called fuzzy music. Sometimes, because of this fuzzy effect, the melodies are too much long and are not easy to distinguish or a bit tedious after you listen for a while. In other words, this music does not get good results if we apply the old wise question: how many times would you listen to it? The point is the music needs more contrast as a whole. As it is, it needs be part of a larger work, to add more movements with variations and contrasts and then it would be 10.

Battle of Magic 5.00 Looks like a ready made composition, from which a piece was extracted. Very difficult to evaluate.                                    
Haunted 5.00 The music is very good, but sounds not original for me. The end was sudden, inducing me to think this midi was cut from another one.

Journey in my Dreams 9.00 Very good, but it reminds me A LOT some music I heard recently playing a game, Age of Empires I guess. Or maybe Caesar III ? I bet I already heard it...

What a Fool I Was 8.50 What a pity this composer doesn't use classical approaches. Waste of talent... :-) Forget the guitar!! Anyway, this guy should be reviewer to help this contest !                                    
Ants and Fairys Dance 8.00 Strong points: the melodies are very good and also the way the first voice stands out. Also good is the harmony. Weak points: the accompaniment which is percussion and pattern based, it ruins the music (!) which could be very good if it used a more classical approach. A different orchestration could improve a lot this music.                                    
Willabum's Final Adventure 8.00 Strong points: the orchestration and the structure. It shows knowledge of composition techniques. Some passages sound like a Broadway or Hollywood track with north-american style of songs. Other ones, sound like old classical style. A bit style mixed.  Weak points: mixes too much different moods and the melodies are not so good as the orchestration is. If this composer would able to build such orchestrations upon more beauty melodies, it would compose masterpieces. But really need improve the melody side of his compositions. It is not the first time I notice this issue with probably the same composer. This composition has some passages with VERY different mood which reminds me different movies. As a cinematic track it could describe several different situations, but as music it is a little messed up. The big problem in this music is that it doesn't transmit me emotions. I think that happens probably because the melodies are NOT good and they have not continuity, so to catch my attention. Listen MidNight below, to understand as I see the difference between beauty expression and brain orchestration.
Summarizing: great orchestration, poor melodies and lack of beauty in chord progressions. Large brain work, little inspiration.
Sorry if I am demaning, but if you pay more attention to melodies and beauty ... I am sure you will improve a lot your results.		                                    
The Market 7.50 Strong points: the colorful orchestration. The melody is simple and very good, but because the composition is too short, the structure does not develop enough and the main theme has not enough variations. It is an unfinished very good work if compared with other ones, more developed, even if this category is cinematic and the msic illustrates just only a market. It repeats so much the same pattern that comparing it with other more ellaborated works, I can't score this composition very high, although the composition work is VERY well done.                                    
Midnight 9.90 This has beauty, feelings and life. The composer who composed this one has a lot of music in his mind and it is admirable how the music can express one's inside. Strong points: the melodies and the harmony. Beautiful, beautifuil, beautiful! Ooops... did I exagerate? I already noticed this composer is one of our BEST, even if most reviewers don't give him the score he deserves, usually because of some absolutelly stupid midi argument. MUSIC, that is.                                    
Emerald 9.00 I will decrease all other's scores after listening the last two ones. It shakes my feelings. (I should multiply all others by 0.5, except Lost Memories).

Pass the Jug, Jethro 7.20 Nice to listen one time and just one time. Not very original. Anyway, it is a very good example of country music. It grows progressively using more complex accompaniments, but keeps always repeating the same theme endless, what is its weakness point. VERY weakness point.

Hobble Skirt 1914 7.50 Very creative composition, based on a not original theme. Easy listening, good for listening one time, but not more because it is a bit obvious. Anyway, the composer shows talent for composition. Probably, with more effort and time he/she could compose something a lot better.
